Country songwriter Corb Lund recently finished up a string of winter dates across his homeland of Canada in support of his latest collection of Western ballads, El Viejo, and is likely looking forward to the warmer weather of the next leg of his journey, which begins in mid-April in the much warmer locale of Central Texas. The songs from the new album—which arrived back in February via New West Records—should feel right at home in the Lone Star State, even if the Alberta native who penned them takes some time to adjust to the drastically different climate.

Yet while he was still in Alberta, Lund braved the frigid temperatures to perform a pair of tracks in front of a snow-blanketed backyard for “Neighborhoods.” Dipping into his newest songbook to perform El Viejo cut “Redneck Rehab,” he also closes the brief set by dusting off “This Is My Prairie” from his 2009 release Losin’ Lately Gambler. Check out the full performance below, and check out all of his upcoming US dates (as well as some in the UK and Europe) here.
