Situated mostly at his keyboard, and surrounded by four other musicians playing various percussive instruments and contributing backing vocals, London-based songwriter Sampha brought his stunning voice and mystical R&B stylings to Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl over the weekend. Widely recognized for his collaborations with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Solange, and Frank Ocean, his current North American tour in support of his second album, Lahai, is reminding audiences of his unique force as a headliner in his own right.
