San Antonio–based artist D.R.O. has shared a new single entitled “God Like Feeling,” the first taste from his new EP Fetal, out May 10 via Fifty Records. The head-nodding rap jam is built around a woozy sample and metallic percussion that gives the song a jagged edge. Verse one features the artist rapping through the fog, before the marine layer clears and verse two features HD vocals and impressive, rambunctious double-time flows.

“The two extremes that encompass me in daily life and especially as an artist are manic heightened ego and depression. The EQ of highs and lows,” the artist shares regarding the new track. “Feeling like I’m the absolute best at what I do, blasphemously ‘I’m god,’ followed dangerously by, ‘I am nothing, and I don’t deserve this life.’ These themes are exciting for me to contrast. I wanted to make something people could nod their heads to and think deeper about the subject matter if they felt the need to.”
