Gateway Drugs have been busy touring in support of their debut LP Magick Spells, playing with the likes of legendary shoegaze groups like The Jesus and Mary Chain, Ride, and Swervedriver, but now the LA band is heading out on the road to carry the torch themselves, and have a new music video to celebrate.
Appropriately sinister and hazy, the video for “Head”—a tune that falls in a long tradition of goth-rock anthems about keeping your “Head On” straight—finds Gateway Drugs playing rock and roll and wandering in the hills.
It’s basically a black-and-white version of how you’d expect CCR to pass a day in Los Angeles. Just be careful with those cigarettes out there, guys!
Gateway Drugs are going to be all over the US this summer playing shows. Time to dig out your blackest pair of shorts.
