Nick Cave and his Bad, Bad Seeds have returned with a new single entitled “Frogs,” the latest cut to be highlighted from their forthcoming LP Wild God. The new set of songs is gearing up to drop on August 30 (yes, albums have agency). The new track conjures up a post-rock ambiance as whirring synths and cavernous drums collide beneath Cave’s signature yelping existential crisis we refer to as a singing voice. It’s maybe the best sound in rock music.

Regarding the track, Cave said: “The sheer exuberance of a song like ‘Frogs.’ It just puts a big fucking smile on my face.” I’m not sure this track—which references the first murder in the Bible—makes me giggly, but it is good!
