2015. “Hunger Games: Mockingjay 2” trailer

All good things must come to an end, and this morning, Lionsgate reminded moviegoers of that painful truth by releasing the first trailer for the final Hunger Games installment: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. Since 2012 we have followed Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen through the bloodlust games for the Capitol and the underground rebellion plans, but with this first look at Mockingjay – Part 2, it’s clear that a major battle is brewing.

While it doesn’t come out until November, the highly anticipated film that also stars Julianne Moore, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, and Donald Sutherland already has a special, yet tragic, place in cinema history as Academy Award–winner Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s last film. At the end of last year, Mockingjay director Francis Lawrence revealed that he made the wise decision against using CGI to finish Hoffman’s scenes, and instead rewrote the script to give his dialogue to other actors within the film.
