Noga Erez has announced that her third album, The Vandalist, will arrive on September 20 via Neon Gold/Atlantic Records, with its first single “PC People” arriving today. The ROUSSO-featuring track seemingly about people who prefer PCs over Macs is a shimmering pop cut laced with arena-rock guitars and head-nodding drums. After hearing the song, I can confirm the song is not about people who prefer PCs over Macs. Lyrics include: “I’m pissing on your PC, this isn’t fucking Disney / Pissing on your peace and love.”

Regarding the track, Erez said: “‘PC People’ asks uncomfortable questions of ‘woke’ culture’s drift towards hypocrisy. Despite its confrontational nature, the track is characteristically nuanced, playful, and tongue and cheek as illustrated by a question towards its end: ‘What you gonna say when you can’t say anything you wanna say?’ Has this phenomenon crossed the line so artists can’t express themselves because of, say, a specific word that’s not considered politically correct? Can woke culture be misused, abused, and used as a way to hurt other people? Are we limiting our ability to share thoughts, have constructive dialogue, create art and use humor?”

Sounds like someone should have lunch with Jerry Seinfeld. Check out the video for the track below.
