Last summer, riot grrrl icons Bratmobile proved that they were very much back with an exciting performance at Oakland’s Mosswood Meltdown festival. While they’ve mostly been moving in silence since then, this weekend will mark their return to the festival circuit with a Saturday evening set at Pitchfork. But for those of us unlucky enough to miss the performance, come October, two-thirds of the band’s LP output will be remastered and re-released for our listening pleasure. Today, their longtime label Kill Rock Stars has announced that 2000’s Ladies, Women and Girls and 2002’s Girls Get Busy will be made available on vinyl and CD for the first time in over two decades.
“We're so excited to have these records back in print physically with new mastering,” the band shared in a press statement. “They reflect a moment in time for our band that was very special and we hope people get the chance to hear them with fresh ears and connect with the ideas that are still relevant today.”
Available in various bundles mixing formats and band merch, pre-order the records before they arrive October 25 here.
