Looking simply stunning in a sun hat, cargo shorts, and sheer blouse (and with matching earrings to boot), Lil B graced the ESPN show SportsNation with his presence yesterday. The Berkeley rapper chatted with the Worldwide Leader about the status of the Based God Curse that has lately gripped the NBA, and particularly how it will affect the finals heading into tonight’s game six.

ulyXj2hThe complexities of the curse, its origins, and its severe repercussions are substantial at this point (those of you looking for a complete breakdown are recommended to read Noisey’s Pulitzer-worthy analysis of the situation), but in short, if you disrespect or anger Lil B (by talking smack, as Kevin Durant did, or by stealing his dance moves, as in the case of James Harden), the Based God will seek vengeance and destroy your game.

Thankfully for the Cavs and Warriors, however, it appears that Lil B and the Based God (who seem to exist as some sort of semi-connected Based Being) believe in a “fair” series and will not interfere further with the fate of the playoffs (even though you’re really asking for it, Marreese Speights).

“We never like to curse people,” says B. “That’s always a last resort.”

Last resort or not, we’ll all know who’s to blame if LeBron cramps up again. Check out Lil B’s full appearance on SportsNation below.

Read our feature on NBA Hall of Famer Jamaal Wilkes, who won four NBA titles himself (and probably never had to deal with being cursed by, like, George Clinton).
