After a seven year hiatus, the Project Pabst music festival returned to Portland this past weekend for two days of music, art installations, local food vendors, and, naturally, lots of beer. With two stages spread across Tom McCall Waterfront Park situated along the Willamette River, the event was first developed in 2014 as a “love letter to Portland,” providing the beer brand a chance to celebrate the local culture of their hometown. The festival branched out to host similar events in Atlanta, Denver, and Philadelphia, before taking an extended hiatus since 2017.

This years’s lineup featured 20 artists including headlining sets from Big Thief and Billy Idol, along with local heroes Gossip, rap superstar T-Pain, ’80s folk-punk legends Violent Femmes, indie faves including Shannon and the Clams, STRFKR, Militarie Gun, and La Luz, and plenty in between.

Photographer Cara Lindsay made the rounds backstage to capture exclusive portraits with a cross-section of talent appearing at both days of the festival. Check out her portraits below.
