Christopher Owens, who used to perform with the late Chet “JR” White under the Girls moniker, has returned with his first solo song in seven years. The sprawling six-minute cut begins with lilting acoustic guitars and a shuffling drum groove, which gives the song an almost-tropical energy.
The single artwork was taken outside of the Wolf’s Lair Castle in Los Angeles, longtime home of the late Shelley Duval, by Owens’ frequent collaborator Sandy Kim.
