Jamie xx has teamed up with The Avalanches for a new single entitled “All Your Children,” which is set to be featured on Jamie’s second solo album In Waves. The track, which has become a staple of Jamie’s live sets, begins with a sample of a woman speaking: “All you children gather ’round, we will dance and we will whirl.” Jamie then introduces a techno groove that’s built for heating up dancefloors and shaking club speakers.
“The Avalanches have always been an inspiration for me,” the producer shared regarding the collaboration. “Their sample technique and how they piece together different sounds is incredible and collaborating on a track with them has showed me new ways of making music.” The Avalanches added: “We’re so excited about the release of this track with Jamie, ‘All You Children.’ We hope you love it as much as we do.”
