It’s all there in the headline, but for posterity (if not clarity), Jack White’s album-meets-guerilla-marketing campaign No Name will reach its climax over the next few days. If you can go to a Third Man retail store, the album can be yours tomorrow. It will arrive at independent retailers and appear on streaming services the day after tomorrow, August 2.
News of the album first surfaced when Jack White went all U2 on everyone’s asses and customers were slipped free unmarked vinyl copies of the album in their shopping bags at Third Man stores. One day you’re buying the new Green Day album, and the next you realize you got some white mystery record that could have come from anywhere. Spooky stuff.
Pre-order the album here. I guess you could also read our review of the new Green Day record, too, if you want.
