If there is one thing that is constant in this ever-changing world, it’s that Janet Jackson (Miss Jackson if you’re nasty) knows how to make absolute bangers. This morning, the pop star dropped “No Sleeep”—the lead single from her upcoming (and still untitled) album.

With vocal harmonies smooth as honey, a truly funky bass line, and a classic R&B beat, “No Sleeep” brings Jackson’s signature sound back to the forefront of the pop scene after over seven years of silence. The track, which was written/produced by the legendary team of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (along with the singer), is a promising first taste of what Jackson will bring on her first LP for her own Rhythm Nation label.

Jackson’s full-length follow-up to 2008’s Discipline will be released this fall via Rhythm Nation/BMG.
