2015. “Grandma” trailer

It’s hard not to find yourself wishing that Lily Tomlin was your grandmother after watching the first trailer for Grandma. For Paul Weitz‘s (About a Boy, Mozart in the Jungle) latest feature film, Tomlin plays a woman who is willing to help and protect her granddaughter (Julia Garner) at all costs.

Within this first look at the Sundance film, it’s clear that Tomlin’s character dances to the beat of her own drum and everyone loves and accepts her for that (including Laverne Cox and Sam Elliot). Well, everyone except her own daughter (Marcia Gay Harden) and her granddaughter’s sleazy kind-of boyfriend who learns how to properly wield a hockey stick in the trailer.

Grandma is slated for an August 21 limited release.
