A$AP Rocky has shared a video for his recent single, “HIGHJACK,” which features vocals from Jessica Pratt and Jon Batiste, with production from Hitkidd and a bunch of other people, too. The German-expressionistic video was directed by AWGE and Thibaut Grevet.
The first single from Rocky’s forthcoming LP Don’t Be Dumb is actually quite good, and the cinematic visual emphasizes that Rocky has long been a king of aesthetics. I say “actually” because it‘s been a while since Rocky has dropped actually good music, and this is a throwback to some of his early work. I am quietly optimistic for Don’t Be Dumb. Even if the Morrissey rumors are true.
Check out the visual for “HIGHJACK” below. Though my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be, despite Pratt handling vocals on the cut, she doesn’t appear in the visual. A big mistake, IMHO.
