Earlier this month we kicked off our latest “Neighborhoods” subseries dedicated to performances within and around the grounds of some of the world’s most interesting music festivals with a short setlist filmed at San Luis Obispo’s indie-electronic fest Shabang. Following series spotlighting NYC’s New Colossus and Oslo’s Øya Festival, this current set of videos sees artists playing music live at Dairy Creek Golf Course on the coast of Central California at the May event that additionally featured art installations and pop-ups from renowned wineries, breweries, and local food vendors.

Following sets from Peach Pit and Sun Room, this week we’re closing out the series with one final video from Chicago’s recently reformed indie-pop outfit The Walters, who amble through the track “Cottage Roads” from their 2015 LP Young Men on the festival grounds. "Shabang 2024 was one for the books,” the band shares, looking back on their experience at the festival. “Despite the freezing rain, the crowd kept the vibes high. Just as the sunshine emerged, a rainbow appeared during our final song. It was pure magic!”
