LA-based vocalist and composer Sharada Shashidhar has announced her sophomore album, Soft Echoes, which is set to arrive on September 27 via Leaving Records. The project’s new single, “By the Land,” is a beautiful lounge jazz stunner that slowly reveals itself to be an experimental noise fest.
Keyboard melodies, delicate snare clicks with the occasional rim shot accent, double-time accents, and Shashidhar’s soaring voice lead the show here. Come for the smooth vibes, stay for the batshit cool harmonies that fight for air with a wild drum performance.
