UK techno greats Orbital have a North American tour coming up, and if for some reason you purchased a ticket without having any idea who the band is, you’re in luck. Brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll have announced a new collection called A Beginner’s Guide—a greatest hits–esque compilation spanning the duo’s 30-plus-year career.
Arriving November 8, CD and vinyl versions of the release will feature designs and illustrations based on 1970s technical manuals created by long-term Orbital collaborator Julian House, along with new sleeve notes. The band’s Green + Brown tour also resumes later this fall with upcoming US dates in San Francisco and Austin. Pre-order A Beginner’s Guide (which will also be available digitally) here.
