Nolan the Ninja is back with another new single, “MUKBANG,” this time recruiting New Jersey’s favorite demon: Fatboi Sharif. The song comes during a fruitful period for Nolan, who unveiled “i’m OK” and “rutabaga” back in September. On the new cut, which features production from Roper Williams, Nolan and Fatboi trade lines over a beat that operates around little more than a horn-like synth that sounds like a boat horn echoing vaguely in the distance. Nolan raps: “These n****s think I give a fuck about the shit they give a fuck about.” Hell yeah. Here’s to not giving a fuck about shit other people give a fuck about.
“Sharif & I made ‘MUKBANG’ about a year or so ago while I was in New York,” Nolan shares. “It came together so naturally. Roper Williams played the beat and we recorded our vocals immediately. I also remember instantly knowing that Quelle Chris was gonna make the video. It’s a great hybrid of our worlds. It’s eerie, spacey, creative, fun—and most importantly, it’s hip-hop.”
Check out the video below, which, as Nolan mentions, is animated by global hero Quelle Chris.
