Robert Alfons returned last month with the release of his first TR/ST album in five years, with Performance delivering the darkwave goods the project has long proved itself capable of. Following the two-part The Destroyer LP in 2019 and a pair of releases earlier in the decade, it allowed for something like a clean slate for the synthpop figure, who appears more genuine, mature, and open than ever before.
As Alfons hits the road this week for a North American tour kicking off on Halloween in DC, the artist recorded a new episode of FLOOD FM’s “Hacked” that will be airing all week (October 28 – November 1). Between talk breaks, we get new wave and electronic cuts from recent artists (Provoker, Real Lies), legends of the scene (New Order, Suicide), and everything in between (e.g. Johnny Jewel’s short-lived Glass Candy project).
Check out the episode at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. throughout the rest of the week only on FLOOD FM. You can also check out TR/ST’s upcoming live dates here.
