With just days before the election, #iVoted Concerts is hosting 18 free events across the country with the aim of increasing voter turnout. The nonprofit organization founded by Emily White, Mike Luba, and Wilco’s Pat Sansone worked with Johns Hopkins University’s SNF Agora Institute to help identify trending artists in each location that would increase the most civic impact.
“We are deeply moved by the brilliant artists, academics, music industry leaders, and partners that have come together to produce 17 free #iVoted Concerts nationwide in venues ranging from clubs to arenas,” stated #iVoted co-founder White. “Although this really is the election of our lifetime, we’re just getting started as I’m thrilled that organizations like TradesForce are utilizing our data and asking us to produce Impact Concerts that support the climate and beyond by opt-ing in to learn about clean energy jobs in each market. There is so much more we can do with this data to target the exact demographics in each location to take action and make a tangible impact on our society for all.”
Events kick off tonight with Chromeo in Las Vegas and Kash Doll in Detroit. The 18th and final show will feature GloRilla and Moneybagg Yo on election night (11/5, but you know that?!) at Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA. Additional artists performing in venues in Phoenix, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Milwaukee, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Cleveland, Durham, and Austin include GloRilla, Moneybagg Yo, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Yung Gravy, Skilla Baby, Tee Grizzley, Lakeyah, Cake, Bob Schneider, Cash Cobain, Westside Boogie, Luh Tyler, 21 Lil Harold, KUR, Freeway, Tay B, NilexNile, Town Mountain, Grace Weber, Ari B, Wave Chapelle, Hammer No More the Fingers, Dawn Landes, Apostle Jones, Maura Rogers and The Bellows, Me Nd Adam, and DJ Crykit.
