After the one-two punch of 2018’s debut Church of Scars and the following year’s Champion, Bishop Briggs entered a time of reflection before pumping out her third record. Given the title—Tell My Therapist I’m Fine—you could imagine the five-year period between records consisted of a little more than just writer’s block. “I wrote Tell My Therapist I’m Fine in pieces, on bits of paper, in voice notes, and alas in therapy,” she shared upon the album’s release, which followed the death of her older sister in 2021. “The music in its essence and style is an ode to the bands my sister introduced me to when we were teenagers, most of which you would’ve heard at The Warped Tour and in grungy dive bars. I can see her singing the songs with so much verve and passion—it makes me want to cry just to think about it.”

With a bit of downtime before taking these songs on the road in March, Briggs is joining us this week with a new episode of FLOOD FM’s “Hacked” wherein she spins tunes from some of the moment’s buzziest pop stars—Sabrina Carpenter, Clairo, Chappell Roan, The Last Dinner Party, our latest cover star FINNEAS, and more—between talk breaks. Check out the hour-long episode every day this week (November 4 – 8) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. PST only on FLOOD FM. You can also find tickets and info on Briggs’ forthcoming tour on her website.
