Liz Harris (Grouper), Jed Bindeman (Eternal Tapestry), and Scott Simmons (Eat Skull) have joined forces as Helen. While decidedly poppier than anything put out by their better-known bands, “Motorcycle,” the a lead single from the forthcoming The Original Faces, isn’t exactly primed for radio play—in 110 quick seconds, it shifts from hazy shoegaze bashing to introspective middle, and finally to a hanging ending.
