Iggy Pop is gearing up to release Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 2023 in January, and ahead of that date the punk zaddy has shared a teaser in the form of a live rendition of his 1977 single “The Passenger.” The track is probably his most famous, and this live version from Stravinski Hall does plenty of justice to the iconic cut. The instantly recognizable guitar melody is lovely, sure, but the lil’ horn flourishes are just a delightful bonus!
Regarding the new record, Iggy said: “Stravinsky Hall is special, like Carnegie or the Garden or Sydney Opera. I’ve dived in them all.”
