The Honor Fraser Gallery in Los Angeles has announced that it will be exhibiting a new show of Pussy Riot leader Nadya Tolokonnikova’s art beginning January 10 called “Punk’s Not Dead.” Reads the gallery’s website: “Honor Fraser will serve as a sounding board for Tolokonnikova’s unruly compositions, featuring artworks that underscore the shifting tonalities of political unrest.”

In other Tolokonnikova news, this past weekend her “Pussy Riot Sex Dolls” installation was attacked in the chapel of the Holy Virgin at the OK Linz Museum in Austria. “The glass door of the chapel was smashed on the eve of Mary’s conception—a symbolic date that cannot be ignored,” shared Tolokonnikova. “This chapel has long been a secular space, integrated into the OK Linz Museum of Contemporary Art. This act of fundamentalist aggression is a rupture aimed at the ideals of enlightenment, secularism, and free expression.”

Check out Tolokonnikova’s IG post on the attacked exhibit below, and visit the Honor Fraser website for more information on her forthcoming opening.
