“Why Wait”? Why Choose? Shopping are a band with questions that they dare you to answer. This spring’s Consumer Complaints found singer Rachel Aggs spitting over her own skittery guitar lines while bassist Billy Easter and drummer Andrew Milk shifted across awkward two-steps and stiff dance lines. “Why Wait” continues along the same lines. “Why wait when it’s in the palm of my hand?” Aggs sings. “Why choose when I want to take it all?” Their sound may be indebted to the don’t-dance-punk of The Slits, but Aggs’ culture-jamming anxiety is pure 21st century agit-pop.
