Show Me a Hero is a new six-part miniseries that follows Nick Wasicsko, the real-life former mayor of Yonkers, New York, who experienced intense public backlash for building low-income housing in wealthy white neighborhoods. The show was created by David Simon, who knows a few things about bleeding-heart white mayors and low-income housing from his time running The Wire. Oscar Isaac stars as Wasicsko, while—judging by the trailer—Catherine Keener plays a concerned white citizen. Take a look:
