After emerging from the dark ages of collaborations (which bottomed out around, oh, let’s say Halloween 2011), there is, once again, light at the end of the tunnel in that department, with 2015 already having featured some pretty righteous projects being made between musical powerhouses.
On cue, today comes the news of another strange and intriguing new band, this one known as Minor Victories, and featuring Rachel Goswell from Slowdive, Stuart Braithwaite from Mogwai, Justin Lockey from Editors, and James Lockey from Hand Held Cine Club. Goswell dropped the news formally on Twitter, and though there’s no music yet, the gang is said to currently be working on a full-length debut, which is “sounding fucking class,” according to Lockey.
That’s it as far as details for now, but allegedly the album will feature some other notable guest appearances, including a duet between Goswell and Mark Kozelek. Hopefully it’ll be here just in time for Christmas!
