Flight Facilities’ Pre-CRSSD Festival Fuel Playlist

Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell share a few tracks to get us hyped for San Diego’s annual spring electronic music fest this weekend.

February 26, 2025

Last spring, we spent the day with Australian house duo Flight Facilities before, during, and after their performance at Coachella 2024, a period of time spent rubbing shoulders with their musician peers and other celebrities, doing “yoga,” and getting into other mischief. This year, Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell are kicking off their festival run a little earlier with another staple of SoCal live music: San Diego’s CRSSD festival, which is celebrating its tenth year in 2025.

Taking place on the city’s Waterfront Park stage this Saturday and Sunday, Flight Facilities will be performing alongside other electronic music greats such as Justice, Jungle, SG Lewis, LP Giobbi, Braxe + Falcon, Poolside, and Kavinsky. As if that isn’t enough to get them pumped for their performance, Gruzman and Lyell are sharing the perfect “festival fuel” playlist, a collection of tunes perfect for pre- and post-gaming the event (plus their own DRAMA collaboration “Dancing on My Own,” which is to be listened to while “star[ing] dramatically into the distance at CRSSD”). Check out their picks below, and find more info on CRSSD here.

Flight Facilities feat. DRAMA, “Dancing on My Own”
The saddest/happiest song to dance to, but in the best way. Play this when you need to stare dramatically into the distance at CRSSD.

LF System, “All I’ve Got”
These guys know how to make a groove stick to your brain like glitter after a festival.

Prospa, “If You Want My Loving”
Warehouse rave energy bottled into four minutes. If you’re not two-stepping by the drop, check your pulse.

Elkka, “Make Me” (Sofia Kourtesis Remix)
Sunset, warm breeze, and a track that makes you feel like you’re floating. Perfect festival fuel.

Laurence Guy, “Hey Baby”
That 3 a.m. feeling when everything’s hazy and your mate’s telling you they love you.

Chris Lake feat. Abel Balder, “Ease My Mind”
Chris Lake doesn’t miss. This one’s like a hypnotic loop straight to the dancefloor.

Dos Hombres Sonido, “Que Tal America” (Dave Lee Mix)
Funky, sun-soaked, and impossible to stand still to. A guaranteed good time.

Luke Alessi, “Day Dreams of Beaches”
This one sounds exactly like the title—close your eyes and you’re there.

Smooth Touch, “House of Love”
House music history in one track. If you don’t know, now you know.

Diana Ross, “Love Child”
A bit of soul never hurt anyone. Classic Diana for when you need a little sing-along moment.

Loods, “Being with You”
Feel-good house that makes you want to hug the person next to you.
