It’s been a couple of decades since the Lakers delivered Showtime heroics on the regular at The Forum in Inglewood, but over the last few years the famed venue has been revitalized to host some of the most compelling live shows in the city. Local heroes Deftones brought their own Showtime energy to the venue on Wednesday for the first of two headlining nights along with The Mars Volta and Fleshwater.
Formed back in 1988, it’s been remarkable to watch Deftones’ popularity blossom with a new generation of fans in every decade since then, and that diversity of age was on full display last night as fans young and old packed the arena for their raucous 19-song set.
