The Backstreet Boys made dreams come true with their amazing cameo in This Is the End. That heavenly performance reminded everyone that the boy band still exists, which is strange because you’d think that no one would need to be reminded that the group is still (non-sarcastically) releasing albums—including one where the cover is the five of them standing on a beach with fake moons photoshopped in the background.

Thankfully for us, the quintet’s talent is not limited to music, and the resident “nerd” of the group Nick Carter has written a “movie” which will star himself, fellow BSB members Howie Dorough and A. J. McLean, *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone, and further to-be-named ’90s pop stars (*cough* Aaron Carter *cough*).

With a working title of Dead 7, the movie is described by Carter as “a zombie Western futuristic horror movie,” and is being produced by the production company behind the Sharknado franchise. We know, we know: it’s amazing that this is just being made now.

So far there’s no timetable for release, but the film has to see distribution before February in order to qualify for the 2016 Oscars.
