Fatboi Sharif, rap’s greatest haunted spirit, has reunited with DRIVEBY for a new single entitled “Swim Team Audible Function.” On the cut, DRIVEBY cues some tuba-like horn notes while Sharif enters a trance-like state and free associates as only he can do. I’m not sure what the opposite of a rap beat with drums is, but this is it. “Sharif pleads his case in a planetary tribunal for humanitarian behaviors that cannot be unambiguously explained to the logical mind unless it’s broken down in an erratic method,” DRIVEBY shares of the track.
Adds Sharif:
“Caught within the midst of madness, confusion, chaos, and ignorance
Hands are covered with mud prints
Eyes analyze open wounds pressured, beneath the scope betrayed cracked smiles carry parade towards final resting place.”
