Aesop Rock is back, gearing up to drop his first record since 2023’s Integrated Tech Solutions. Black Hole Superette is set to arrive on May 30 via Rhymesayers. First single “Checkers” features Aes on the beat with some additional vocals from Homeboy Sandman and Slug of Atmosphere. Over sci-fi inspired synths and a rhythmic bass line, Rock showcases why he’s still considered one of the very best rhymers in the game.
The album will also feature Lupe Fiasco (with whom Aes teamed up on 2022’s “Pumpkin Seeds”), Open Mike Eagle, and billy woods and ELUCID of Armand Hammer. Hell yeah. Check out the video for “Checkers” below, and pre-order Black Hole Superette here.
