Los Angeles-based pop and soul outfit Fitz and The Tantrums hit fans with a double dose of surprises this week, unveiling their first new music of the year along with plans for a headlining summer tour. Since launching out of the LA indie club scene back in 2008, singers Michael "Fitz" Fitzpatrick, Noelle Scaggs, and co. have consistently delivered feel-good pop anthems and festive live shows, and are building on those uplifting vibes with "Ruin the Night," despite the foreboding title.

“Some memories just refuse to take the hint. ‘Ruin the Night’ is about trying to move on while the past is still living rent-free in your head," Fitzpatrick revealed. "It’s raw, It’s real, and it’s a little messy, but that’s life."

Fitz and The Tantrums' extensive 31-date Man On The Moon Tour kicks off on July 24 in San Diego, CA and ends August 31 in Austin, TX, with stops in dozens of major cities across North America along the way. Aloe Blacc, Neal Francis, Ax and the Hatchetman, SNACKTIME, and Gable Price and Friends will support on select dates. Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m. local time here.
