Saxophonist/ambient composer/all-around brilliant musician Cole Pulice has shared “Fragments of a Slipstream Dream,” set to be featured on their new LP Land’s End Eternal. The single begins with isolated tones before expanding into a shimmering beauty, full of layered sax parts, glitching synths, and buzzing low-end.
Regarding the track, Pulice says: “Virtually every single sound on ‘Fragments of a Slipstream Dream’ is signal processed saxophone, save for the wind synth melody in the middle. It’s a sort of compositional portal from my previous solo electroacoustic saxophone work into the new saxophone-FX-guitar world on this album.”
Pulice has also announced tour dates on the West Coast and in Europe this June and early July, which you can check out below. You can also stream “Fragments of a Slipstream Dream” below, and pre-order Land’s End Eternal ahead of its May 9 release via Leaving Records here.
