Briston Maroney has announced that his third album, JIMMY, will arrive on May 2 via Atlantic Records. Ahead of the release, two new singles, “Tomatoes” and “Bullshit,” are out now. The former is a crunchy guitar track with lo-fi aesthetics and a playful delivery from Maroney before popping off during the chorus. On “Bullshit,” Maroney croons over an acoustic guitar melody as he sings touching lines like: “I’d stay here forever / But I’d leave here tomorrow if the option arose / But I love my family / And I gotta see where my little siblings’ lives go.”
Maroney is currently touring the UK and Europe in support of Peach Pit, and this summer he’ll be hitting the road with the group for their North American co-headlining “Long Hair, Long Life” tour. Check out those dates here. You can also listen to “Tomatoes” and “Bullshit” below, and pre-order JIMMY here.
