Fontaines D.C. are gearing up to kick off a big ol’ tour of North America this week, but that’s not the biggest news to emerge from the Dublin quintet. The band has just released a deluxe edition of their fourth album, Romance. Available now via XL Recordings, the new version adds three songs—“Before You I Just Forget,” the recently released “It’s Amazing to Be Young,” and a live version of “Starburster” that’s mashed up with David Lynch’s “In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)” from Eraserhead—to the original 11-track LP.
Speaking on that first new track, the band’s guitarist Conor Curley said: “‘Before You I Just Forget’ is a song that started with a vision of this really blown out sound, something that heaved and shifted with new details, becoming apparent every time you would listen. Like never being able to step in the same river twice, the song morphs and changes, finishing with an incredible string part by Grian.”
