Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders has made history this week as the first candidate to ever use virtual reality on the campaign trail. After being approached by LA’s Virtuality Lab studio, Sanders agreed to film one of his fundraising events with a 360 degree camera. While the result isn’t as visually stunning as Björk’s Oculus Rift “Stonemilker” video, Sanders’s VR filmed speech gives fans of the politician a personal glimpse into his thought process (by way of being able to see his speech notes) and his personal view (you can look out at his audience from the podium).
If you are one of the lucky few to have a VR headset, you can watch the whole fundraiser here. If you aren’t, we’ve got you covered, just check it out below via YouTube.
