Grizzly Bear has announced their first North American headlining tour in six years, a return that vocalist Ed Droste began teasing last year in since-deleted Reddit comments. “Because Grizzly Bear never broke up, their first shows in six years are not a reunion,” stated a press release. “They are a simultaneous point of arrival and departure, their next destination still unknown.” The run begins on October 13 in Brooklyn with three nights at Brooklyn Steel. The band will then hit Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco before wrapping things up in Oakland, California.

The band also confirmed on social media that they’ll be releasing vinyl reissues of their albums Yellow House, Veckatimest, Shields, and Painted Ruins. Some pretty stellar records, if ya ask me. Check out the official announcement below, and revisit our 2022 interview with the band’s Daniel Rossen which touches upon Grizzly Bear’s future here.
