By tapping into the incredibly lucrative market of Jews who like Wu-Tang and weed, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have been major forces behind a surprisingly large number of the funniest movies of the last decade, including main projects like Superbad, Pineapple Express, This Is the End, and The Interview (which was totally underrated, by the way, and didn’t deserve to get overshadowed by the Sony debacle), as well as more peripheral involvement in stuff like Neighbors and 50/50.
That last one wasn’t really a comedy, but it did prove to everyone how much Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt belong together, which is why they’re teaming back up (along with newly minted Marvel superhero Anthony Mackie) for something a bit more lighthearted this time in The Night Before. Plot-wise, everything you need to know about this movie can probably be deduced from its original title—X-Mas—but basically it’s about three friends who get back together on Christmas Eve to party like they used to, and end up tripping balls with Miley Cyrus. Pretty standard, really.
50/50 director Jonathan Levine is back at the helm for this one, and from the looks of it, he’s done a beautiful job of getting just the right take of Seth Rogen puking in a church.

The Night Before is out November 25.
