Ryan Immegart and Donald Horne have been creating music together for over 30 years now, with their ’90s punk band theLINE returning in the late-2010s after both members’ non-musical careers steered them away from their focus on writing and recording. With new material dropping in 2019 and a digitization campaign bringing their original records to streaming services, the duo is continuing to evolve as musical partners with their latest endeavor launched at the tail end of 2024: Ya I Feel Ya

Contrasting with the edgier sounds of their previous collaborations, the first two singles they’ve shared take a laid back approach to rock music, channeling the hazy psychedelia of the ’70s and integrating a more contemporary heartland-indie sheen. Their newly released third single “Fallen Empire” sees them reflecting on the immense change in their current realities, despite being far removed from the chaos of their youth. “Written in the wake of seismic shifts in our lives, we carved the song from the peaks and valleys we’ve all trudged through,” Immegart shares.

To enhance their psychedelic vision, they’re also sharing a video for the track which takes the listener on a cosmic journey through the song’s psych-folk landscapes. “The video was inspired by an old film photo we took—two figures and their newborn on a beach, frozen in a quiet, powerful moment,” Immegart adds. “It’s raw, and a reflection of what we lose, what we hold on to, and what still matters. We hope ya feel it.”
