This morning, on the day before the release of her sophomore album Blood, British singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas released another new track “Tokyo.” The laid-back and textured song is her fourth single from the upcoming LP.
With a stellar bass groove, La Havas’ warm and full vocals, and a catchy chorus about anonymity in a new place (“I’m out of sight / I’m out of mind / Alone in Tokyo”), “Tokyo” masterfully showcases the R&B artist’s fluid genre-bending talents.
Blood is out tomorrow via Warner Bros.
