The Broad in Downtown LA is set to host two concerts that showcase the Native culture in Los Angeles. The nights of contemporary Native music and curated visual art will accompany Jeffrey Gibson’s exhibition at the museum, “the space in which to place me.”

Past + Future = Present, Pt. 1 is set for August 16 and will feature performances from Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Black Belt Eagle Scout, DJ Noir, and Jlin, who will be debuting a series of three collaborative compositions with recordings made by Navajo/Diné musician Glen Begay and Bearspring, specially commissioned for the evening by The Broad. Part two of the event will go down on September 20 and includes performances from M’lynn and Joe Rainey. Additional talent to be announced soon.
