Last week we launched our latest digital cover story with Lord Huron’s Ben Schneider, who took us deeper into the lore of his band’s new album The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1. And while he did go deep on the fictional sci-fi universe the project inhabits, as well as a handful of his musical influences, this week he’ll also be taking over FLOOD FM with a new episode of “Hacked.” Well, at least someone who shares his taste in music is.

“Deep in the night, broadcasting live from way out there, it’s The Tune Tomb, a WBUB production hosted by Cliff Q,” the artist shares in a statement to introduce the broadcast. “Cliff Q, a.k.a. Mr. Madness, a.k.a. the Laughing Ghoul has been hosting The Tune Tomb on WBUB for as long as anyone cares to remember; maybe forever. The show airs weekly, but is not fixed in time, and may air in the wee hours any night of the week, usually somewhere between 1 and 5 a.m. In addition to his passion for music, Cliff is an amateur mortician and an avid collector of occult ephemera and artifacts. He resides somewhere out beyond the frozen pines with his beloved 100-year-old tortoise, Jeff, and a goldfish, Porkchop.”

As for “Hacked,” the episode runs every day this week (August 11 – 15) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. PT rather than forever, with tunes by Suicide, George Jones, Bar Italia, and more filling out the track list. Tune in here, and revisit our cover story on Lord Huron here.
