Ukrainian-born, NYC-raised rapper Your Old Droog and legendary producer Madlib have once again teamed up under the moniker Droogie Otis to drop a new single called “The Edge,“ which features a guest verse from Killer Mike. Following “Everything Designer”—which was released back in March, and featured a guest verse from Boldy James—the new track warms up with a swelling horn section, a dusty, minimal drum groove, a bass line that gives the song some low-end oomph, and a guitar solo performed by Droog himself.

Regarding the single, Droog said: “‘The Edge’ is one of those songs I dreamed of making. It feels elevated. It feels like a suit-and-tie affair. It feels like an award show. It’s great to share that figurative stage with Killer Mike.”
