On the heels of their FLOOD digital cover story, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re presenting Wolf Alice’s return to Southern California at the historic Fox Theater in Pomona. Built in 1932, this classic Art Deco theater will be the perfect venue to host the glorious sounds of the UK quartet, who will be in the midst of touring North America in support of their fourth album, The Clearing.

Singer Ellie Rowsell is a force of nature on stage, and is still continuing to evolve as a live performer since forming the band in London over 15 years ago. “I’ve been interested in how to get energy in a live performance that doesn’t rely on shouting or running around or distortion pedals or cymbals,” she explained to FLOOD. “Someone like Kate Bush, or a lot of country music like Dolly Parton. Performance levels are so high, but sometimes it’s just on an acoustic guitar or a piano. Adele, too. I like hearing people not use their voice always in the same way, especially with rock music. I think sometimes there’s a kind of machoism in rock music where they’re scared to use their voice in any way that isn’t ‘cool.’”

The show at Fox Theatre will see support from Martha’s Vineyard–based songwriter (and one of Wolf Alice’s favorite artists) Willy Mason. Tickets are on sale now here.
