Fans of all stripes converged in Chicago’s Douglass Park this past weekend for the 20th anniversary of the annual Riot Fest, where they took in three days of punk and alternative greats, past and present. After a mysterious 12 year pursuit, they finally landed John Stamos, who performed with The Beach Boys for the cherry on top of a wide-ranging line-up that included Green Day, Rilo Kiley, Weezer, blink-182, Lambrini Girls, IDLES, GWAR, Buzzcocks, Militarie Gun, Knocked Loose, Sparks, Rico Nasty, and dozens more, including several more of the event’s usual curveballs (see: Hanson).
