LA-based songwriter Jordana has shared a new single entitled “Like That,” set to be included on her new EP Jordanaland. The track is a sharp pop cut built around a propulsive drum groove and a syncopated vocal delivery from Jordana. As is always the case, the tambourine is a crucially important accent during the pre-chorus.
Regarding the track, Jordana said it’s “a song about being totally encapsulated in someone, but at the same time, feeling as though they want you only for superficial reasons. It’s about knowing the situation you’re in is bad for you, even promising to others that you wouldn’t ever degrade yourself again, but your feelings are so intense, it’s difficult to navigate.”
Jordanaland will arrive on November 7 via Grand Jury. Check out the Alex LaLiberte–directed, fourth-wall-breaking video for “Like That” below, and pre-order the EP here.
