Alemeda has recruited her TDE labelmate Doechii for “Beat a B!tch Up,” a single from the singer’s forthcoming EP But What the Hell Do I Know. The alt-rock track kicks off with an interlocking guitar melody and bass line, providing a backdrop for Alemeda to sing about all the things she would do to defend the person she loves.
Regarding the song, Alemeda said: “‘Beat a B!tch Up’ is about caring so deeply for someone that you’d do anything for them, even if they wouldn’t do the same for you. Obviously, the title is not literal, it’s more about how far I’d go to show up for people, even when it hurts me.”
